Quinoa Matar Pulao

▢ 3-4 drops of oil
▢ 1 bay leaf
▢ 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
▢ 1 whole green cardamom
▢ 1 whole cloves
▢ 1 medium red onion sliced
▢ 1 green chili chopped
▢ 1 cup quinoa 185 grams, cooked nd
▢ 1/2 cup green peas
▢ 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
▢ 1.25 cups water
▢ 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

Rinse the quinoa under running water using a strainer for 1-2 minutes and keep it dipped for half an hour in the water

Also, add the frozen green peas to a bowl of warm water while you do the rest of the steps.

Switch on the burner and in apressure cooker, add the oil and then add the whole spices- bay leaf, cumin seeds, green cardamom, black cardamom and cloves. Let them sizzle for few seconds.

Then add the sliced onion and green chili and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the onion is softened.

Drain the green peas and then add them to the pot along with cilantro. Also, add the quinoa and toss everything together.

Add water, salt and stir. Close the pressure cooker with it’s lid.

After closing the pressure cooker , let is whistle for 2 minutes (with the pressure valve in the sealing position). Let the pressure release naturally, which takes around 15 minutes.

Open the lid and using a fork fluff the quinoa.
Serve quinoa matar pulao

Black chana soup🥣

INGREDIENTS
•½ cup black chana broth( boiled black chana water)
* ½ bowl boiled black chana
•Few drops of olive oil
•1 finely chopped onion
•3-4 garlic clove
* pinch of hing
* pinch of jeera
•1 tsp fresh lime juice if needed
•1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
•pinch of black pepper
* salt to taste

Instructions
Boil the black chana with water and salt for 30 minutes. Keep aside about two tablespoons of whole boiled chana aside (for further use).
Add 2 tbsp boiled chana to mixer and grind it to make chana paste. (Keep the water used to boil for further use).
Heat oil in a pan.
Add cumin seeds and hing to it.
Add the chana paste, onion and garlic to it and saute.
Add the chana water ( in which chana was boiled) to it and give it a boil.
Add whole chana (ones which have not been grinded) to it and simmer the gas and keep it for 5-7 minutes.
Add black pepper powder and switch off the gas.
Add lemon juice and garnish with spring onion.
The healthy and comforting black chana soup is ready. Have it and feel energetic!
